Gordon Setters

The Gordon Setter, black and tan paragon of faithfulness to his master, owes his name to the Duke of Gordon. an Eighteenth Century breeder and sporstman who played a part in the breed's development. However, it cannot be said that the Duke "invented" the Gordon, for the dog was known in Scotland and England as early as the Sixteenth Century.

Inglee, a former A.K.C. president, who brought in the best blood available, chiefly from the Scandinavian countries.
